Error on installing patch for mtm2!

Hi all, When I try to install the patch "mtm2pat.exe" I click yes I want to install, then I click Yes I agree, then it tries to install but says "Cannot find existing installation of Microsoft Monster Truck Madness 2 (R). Installation Aborted."

Any help?

When did you originally install mtm2, where did you get the game?

Last night when we tried, it couldn't find the game.
