First off, I would like to say thank you to everyone who continues to contribute to the game. I played the hell outta MTM2 quite a few years ago and was amazed to see that it still had such a following when I stumbled across this site.
I am having a couple issues that I would greatly appreciate help with.
Whenever I attempt to play the game with a downloaded truck the game crashes at the loading screen. The screen either turns a weird light blue hue which fades out and my pc locks up or I get an error message:
Can't Environment Map Model!
D:\Metal\Crush2\core\ENVMAP.CPP
Line 264
Custom tracks work fine but the trucks do not.
Also from time to time the game will not start up and asks for the cd. I downloaded the game and normally do not need the CD. I believe it is a POD related issue.
If anyone has run into this before or has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.
I have loaded the patch, fixmore, and am using Podini
Help with a couple issues please.

In graphic options, turn reflections off.
re: the game will not start up and asks for the cd

There is a pod listed in the pod.ini file that is not on the hard drive.

Try cowpod; it will fix most pod.ini problems.

You need to edit that file in a hex editor, jump to line 264 and delete the semicolon.Whenever I attempt to play the game with a downloaded truck the game crashes at the loading screen. The screen either turns a weird light blue hue which fades out and my pc locks up or I get an error message:

Microsoft doesn't like it when you steal their games, downloading is a sin, asking for the CD is just Microsofts way of making you feel guilty. Also from time to time the game will not start up and asks for the cd. I downloaded the game and normally do not need the CD. I believe it is a POD related issue.
Have no fear, this happens to everyone. If anyone has run into this before or has any suggestions I would greatly appreciate it.
The new CowPod is much fancier and can do more. Either that or edit the pod.ini file manually, then you can hang with us cool people.I have loaded the patch, fixmore, and am using Podini
