Just a question to catch up

Post by NKAc_Street »

Last time I played MTM2 it was at the world gaming center. Logged on and the game is still there, but no people. Did find the chat here and even played the rumble tourney, just wondering what happened with WGC?

WGC is about four sites ago. I never used it but apparently it's a resource hog and never did launch right.

Yeah it was pretty flaky and badly programmed. Well, to be fair, it was programmed to be a game client itself, not to be a launch pad.

WGC, IGF, Voobly, and some card game websites are in the past.

Currently with www.mtm2.com/chat there is no website programming to get in the way of the clean IP games we run, and have run here for quite a while now.

actually wgc used the slidegames client, at least in my days, so you're talking about the same thing

In my days WGC ran on Windows 95, so absolutely no .NET involved :D.

My studying of how to make a game lobby and chat sessions and stuff kind of halted when I got a programming job. When you program for a living, you can't really do it as a hobby as well.

I had it making a connection, but only recently have I learned what a null terminated string is and how to use/make one, so I am pretty far behind the curve....

Hmmm, just found a really good tutorial program to learn from.
