My first track is ready to try out...

Post by Colin »

Okay, I've just finished my first track. It's ready to be downloaded from the URL below. Let me know if the computer trucks follow the course, what you did and did not like about the track etc... [;)]

Hi Colin,

I do like the colours of this track and the open feel to it. This could be a nice high speed track with a bit more tweaking.

I also like the backdrop on this, it blends in nicely with the colours of the track.

Those cps always make me smile and add to the desert feeling.

The arrows just before the bridge that heads to cp 2 to me indicate a turn to the left, however I am sure that you mean just keep to the left of the bridge due to the cut-out on the right. Maybe instead of them use some kind of a workmans barricade ?

Be nice to see some more banking on the curves, I notice all are leaning the opposite way to what I would imagine, maybe put some the other way?
i.e. Just before cp 7 there is a great curve that at high speed and banked the other way would be fantastic to race on and give the racer a feeling of real speed.

The computer trucks pretty much followed the course, albeit very slowly, they went around anywhere from 2.45 - 3.20. Maybe tweak their lines a bit and see if they could give a racer a bit more competition.

Overall I thought a very good first effort.
