C-POD issues CPODINI works but C-POD doesn't
C-POD issues CPODINI works but C-POD doesn't
I got CPODINI to work again, but C-POD itself still doesn't work. Have tried re-installing it, and adding the support files and the cleaner but they didn't work. So CPODINI works, but not C-POD. What gives?
Re: C-POD issues CPODINI works but C-POD doesn't
Did you manually search for any regedit C-Pod entries after you ran the cleaner as I mentioned in the previous thread?
If not... can't help with much because the only way I can think of fixing this is through regedit. Change the values of LEFT and TOP to something like 800 for each and it should show up. Check the attached picture and look for what entries you are supposed to search for.

You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Can't see the pic.

You should be able to see the pic now.
Re: C-POD issues CPODINI works but C-POD doesn't
Only the (Default) file is shown on mine, no traces of the others.
Re: C-POD issues CPODINI works but C-POD doesn't
Hmmm... have you reinstalled C-Pod in the meantime (as in, was it reinstalled when you looked for the values?).
If yes then... I guess you can try adding those values. Right click and select new>string value.
For Left and Top put 800 as I mentioned. PictLeft and PicTop I have no idea what they are so use the same values as in the picture, then for the other values obviously use the actual paths to where you have c-pod installed.

Speaking of which, how do I uninstall C-POD properly?
Re: C-POD issues CPODINI works but C-POD doesn't
There's no "proper" uninstalling. It's considered uninstalled if you delete all the registry entries, which the registry cleaner should take care of (though you have to double check after running it because of different OS, the cleaner might not clean properly on new windows versions).
Re: C-POD issues CPODINI works but C-POD doesn't
Were you able to get it to work?
Re: C-POD issues CPODINI works but C-POD doesn't
Nope, only on a different computer. I have Windows 7 so I should try a different computer system. I also have Windows 10 so maybe it'll work on that.

I think there's simply some hard to find registries or something that doesn't get deleted. This is the drawback of working with software that was never intended for new operating systems.

Well, if it's stubborn to get deleted and it wants to stay, then did you try running the program in all the compatibility modes? What I mean is, when it was installed, if it wasn't working properly, did you try running the program under the different compatibility modes? If you right click properties on the shortcut or the application, there's an option for compatibility mode, and you can choose from a list of different operating systems.
