Stuck throttle when using manual transmission.

Post by SparkTB11 »

I've tried out a couple times playing MTM2 with just using the manual transmission, overall it feels fine except for one issue, for whatever reason the throttle gets stuck for when I'm going through the gears, sometimes I would even let the throttle get stuck till I shift into 3rd gear and so on and so fourth, I'm not really sure what's causing it, is it normal for the game to do this, or is this some new bug that's made it's way onto newer patches?

Yeah, With manual transmission the trucks accelerates automatically until you press brake, Then you have to press forward again and it will accelerate again without the need of holding forward, Basically it's toggle to accelerate
Keep on truckin'

Really? Well I don't really quite understand why that's the case, it's quite an odd thing considering normally in just about every racing game you would just hold down the accelerator and shift up without the throttle sticking, yet this is a thing in MTM2 for whatever reason. I might be wrong on this, but it seems the manual transmission was designed with controllers with movable axis in mind rather than the keyboard controls, and hence why the throttle sticking behavior is a thing. Complete total guess though.

Oh... never realized this but yeah I think that is how it works. This does not happen when using a steering wheel.
