Well, I am a binmaker, but to tell the truth, I'm not that good... so, can anyone make me a snake?

Of course, you could always try a mesh and convert it.
3dcafe has some good animal models but I don't know if the exact idea of a snake is one of them.
And again, I'm not quite certain where you'd find much information about other 3d programs and conversion utilities just now

sorry I don't have anything useful to add to what has already been said... but while we are on the subject
I have a great 3D modelling program called Dream3D by Corel. I have to admit I have not used it apart from viewing the samples. Does anyone know if this prog can be used to make bins?

I have it too, though I haven't had a chance to play with it. It looks just as complicated to use as 3dsm or lightwave or any of those others - that I know nothing about! I'm sure that Dream3D does not save in bin format - very few things do - so you'd probably have to find some info on conversions first to be sure you know what format to save/export in - but I'm sure I know little about that either! But, remember, OBJ is always a good bet.I have a great 3D modelling program called Dream3D by Corel.
