Graphic glitches

Post by och »

Applied community patch + beta 0.37, tried running in all modes - software, d3d, and glide using nGlide 1.05. In all of the modes, when selecting a truck from the list, truck models are blacked out, except monster patrol has visible spoiler, the rest is blacked out. When running the game in dashboard view the dashboard is buggy. Here's a screenshot of dashboard in software more and video of dashboard in glide mode. Direct3d mode produces the same result as glide. Also a screenshot of what interface looks like in glide mode (can't maximize window).

Also, in glide mode the interface is always windowed, in software and direct3d it can be maximized to full size of desktop.

Dashboard mode is currently broken and in progress. The dashboard is basically a large picture and there's trouble getting it to stretch properly.

Yeah if you check the notes for the community patch it specifically says the dashboard does not work correctly and the first time you run the game the trucks are blacked out. After you run a race the truck selection window will look normal.

The main menu interface will always be windowed if you run nGlide at 856x480 resolution. This is a very weird non-standard resolution that makes the game not go full screen. However once you actually start a race it works correctly as nGlide takes the resolution and upscales it to your chosen one (like 1920x1080) and it will correctly go into full screen. So again, only the main menu should have this problem and not the actual race. This is simply a workaround, mostly for people that have trouble running the game in 16:9 resolutions and with a high fps count (mainly Win8 users and some Win10 users). Until the game is ported to directx9 and/or openGL there is nothing that can be done about this. It's not pretty but at least it works.

I see, then apparently everything works correctly on my part. Was just making sure that I wasn't doing something wrong on my part.
