How would u repaint a Model

I need help repainting models can some one tell me what i need?,to repaint models.I tryed it my self but then i got and error

You can repaint a model the same way you repaint a truck. That is, find the bin, rename it, find what textures it uses, repaint and rename them, then use a texture replacer on the bin, and that's it.

What are you trying to do?

I am trying to repaint a ramp,thnx for the help phineus ill try it tommorow and see if it works
