A Question

Post by Hacman »

On some levels i've seen like OP's dark Star & ZooN's Night Graphix there have been BIN models which seem to look like they are emitting light.Like a street light with a beam of light coming out of the light bulb.I was wondering how you do this because it looks really cool & i would love to put these on some of my BIN models

Just to clarify - "Night Graphix" is really called "Certifiably Crazy," and it's by Alpine

I sugest you check out this link on this very site:
http://mtm2.com/~mtmg/Models/Custom/cmisc1.html

There are two streetlight model links, one by me and one by MTMG. The one provided by MTMG has an exelent readme.

BTW this is not something that can be created by binedit. This is a traxx thing....

Thanks Oops:-)

Here's a direct link to the zip that contains the readme information.
Download 'zilla light set (95k)

One day I should find someplace for this on the regular site.

In addition to Certifiably Crazy, you'll find these tracks have lights too:

TMX Lights by Twisted

Several of Oops;-)'s tracks including Night Trains and Gollypop

Godzilla vs Bigfoot by MIYH and myself

Now, I'm not positive about this, but I don't think Dark Star has lights in it at all. I don't know anybody who's ran it at night setting. The entire effect is created using what are still probably the most amazing textures ever made for a game.
