Half Transparency and Impact Sounds

Post by AIR_Wipeout »

Ok, I have 2 questions...

1. Is there a way to make a model that is transparent with a color? I mean, like...
A blue wall that you can see through, but it looks blue.

Sometimes I get a texture error and all 2-d models turn into yellow and blue things, and you can see through the blue part, but it is like I described above.

2. I have a custom sound, and I know how to make a model make a sound when you hit it, but how do I get my sound into the list of impact sounds to chose from in Traxx?

I have heard of this. Make the texture so that it has stripes or checkers that are two pixels wide alternating with black the same width. Set the face type to mtm2 transparent. This will give you a simulated semi-transparent colored effect. Try it and let us know if it works.

You don't actually get it into the list. Click the "..." button and browse to it.

Thanks! Oh, by the way... About the first answer, in BinEdit, when setting the face type, the list has MTM1 Transparency (Transparent Color #0 (Black)) but not MTM2 Transparency...

On PSP6 I did a shiny looking window, flood filled (50% dither) and used transparent colour #0 on binedit.
EASY!
