Post by EVAN HICKEY »

I want to make a billboard to advertise stuff but when I try to OPEN any existing bins, I get a blue box on the screen
that says
"BINEDITCGI HAS PERFORMED AN ILLEGAL OPERATION AND WILL BE SHUT DOWN"

what's goin' on?

You need to set up the preferences.

Do you have the art and models in the correct folders? You know, the same ones you set up in preferences? I don't think it has anything to do with the operating system, unless you're using windows me/2000. I can't get binedit to give an error even if I try.

Also, goto the mtmg billboard page and download one of the mtmg billboards. Sir James explains how to repaint the billboard and you don't need binedit. Just rename all the files, repaint the RAW file (of course, resave it too) and use mdmre's texture replacer to switch the name in the bin. Easy peasy.
