RE: More Trucks, More Tracks, Internet Play ?

Post by Big Boy »

Hi Guys,

I'm new, but I've been reading here for awhile. Got 2 questions: On the MTM2 Trial version,

1. how can I install more tracks, more trucks

2. how can I hook up our two computers to race together ?

Sorry, if these are such basic stupid questions, but I'm just starting out with MTM2 as a hobby between me & my ten-year-old son.

I've been around computers a bit, yet I can't seem to get MTM2 to accept new tracks & new trucks.

Also, I've been a professional design artist before & I'd like to learn how to design new
trucks & tracks to share FREE with others. I have GIMP, a professional art editor & I'm slowly learning all its many tricks & tools.

I will have quite a bit of time to spend in MTM2, if I can just get MTM2 to work right !

My son, Michael, that you guys are all real
KEWL & your Trucks are PHAT ! (That's his way of spelling those words !)

Thanks for whatever help you can give.

Welcome aboard,

>>>1. how can I install more tracks, more trucks
As far as I know you need the retail version in order to add more Trucks and Track... it can be found fairly cheap around town ($10 to $15)

>>>2. how can I hook up our two computers to race together ?
There is an interface within the game to hook up via direct IP or microsoft has some game rooms set up at the Zone where you can chat with other racers or just jump in a race room. and of course you can also hook up via LAN also.

>>>Sorry, if these are such basic stupid questions
Hey no problem we all started some where Image

>>>I can't seem to get MTM2 to accept new tracks & new trucks.
Again, the trial version is just a peek, no add ons will work.

>>>I'd like to learn how to design new trucks & tracks to share FREE with others...
Excellent! you've come to the right place, there'a a lot of knowledge to be tapped here, so once you get your MTM2 cd come on back and someone will hook you up with whatever you need.

I've enjoyed many races and rumbles with my kids to while online here at work with them at home Image its a great game...

Thanks !

I was afraid that the Trial Version was the problem. :-( Just did not want to tell my
son, without confirmation from someone else.

Then it may be awhile before me & Little Man
will be back to play with new trucks or anything. Does anyone really know where I can purchase an inexpensive authorized CD ?

Maybe somebody leaving MTM2 ?

Also thanks for the incouragement that NO
question is really stupid. Little Man, my
son, was right when he said you guys were KEWL !

CYA whenever, guys.

Try Ebay, usually can get one for $5 to $10 and if not there, try your local Wal*Mart, K-Mart, or a computer store

Best Buy offers a 3 pack for $35 that comes with MtM II, MCM & Mid Town Madness Pack
Not sure if the link is working. If not then cut & paste this or go to www.bestbuy.com & click on software then games & look for Simulation & Driving. It's on page 3. http://www.bestbuy.com/software/Detail.asp?e=11028954&m=1023&cat=1028&scat=1191
