Track downloads

Track downloads

I discovered this afternoon that somebody was attempting to download the "entire" tracks page using some sort of bot script. This is NOT cool. If you want a couple gigs worth of tracks, please goto kc's and take advantage of his cd offer. I do not believe for one minute that somebody will download six hundred tracks and use them all in the following week. So, spare my bandwidth and do not do this.

If anyone knows anybody who can be identified by this number:

213-97-72-56.uc.nombres.ttd.es

please pass the word along. I much prefer the single, very large page to browse and download from, but if bots become a problem I will have no choice but to resort to a multi-threaded page like kc uses.... or simply not offer downloads at all.

I will admit to the above downloads. I was simply using a download manager to download the tracks.

I did not take into consideration the bandwidth it would take up.

I apologize profusely!!!!!!

I get very limited time to spend racing due to family contraints and wanted to download a bunch (too many in hind sight) so that I could spend the next several weeks racing.

I have been away from the MTM2 community for awhile and have rediscovered my love for the game. I simply wanted to catch up the addon tracks because they are always way cooler that the ones included with the game.

Again I apologize to everyone I have affected. It will never happen again.

I have restored the track page. PJ, thank you for coming out and being honest with us. However, there's one last thing I would like from you before I can put this matter behind us. Please send me an email at phineus@karf.net where we can wrap this up privately. Thank you.
