Where can u find MTM1 tracks these days?
Where can u find MTM1 tracks these days?
My two boys are really getting into MTM1 (their machine runs MTM1 better than MTM2) and I'd like to find the Yeastman tracks and some others I remember, but no longer have.
Most of the sites I've been able to find are dead now... does anyone have links to Yeastman's tracks, or their own favorites they could post/email me? Not looking for hundreds! But a dozen of the favorite tracks would be fun for the kids.
Thanks for any help you can offer,

I have a few hundred on disk as do others who stop by here, so if you know which one's your looking for just post some names and I'll make them available here....
unfortunatly the big download sites are gone and there just isn't enough demand for mtm1 tracks to warrant buying the server space to host them all.
[edit] I'll try to get a text list together of what I have and post it here tomorrow, that may help to jog the memory
in the meantime you can find a few including some YM at the link below

All right, Mailbu350, thank you! That helped a lot. Over 750 tracks right there. That'll take some time to work with. Are they all MT1 or are they a mix... guessing from the dates many were made, I'd wager they're a mix.
I remember tracks by Yeastman, Jeff Barnes, and Alpine... the other names are tougher because some guys made great stuff - but may have made only one or tracks.
Anyone tried running MTM1 under Win2K (my machine, not my kids!). I installed the game and a few tracks as a test and most worked, but a few of Yeastman's complained about missing a MOD file. Seemed odd, and I wondered if it was a Win2K issue. Otherwise, the game ran fine with the others.
Still, looking forward to your list if you can throw it together without too much trouble. Thanks again,

Phineus beat me to it and posted a link to a mtm1 track text list above, all of those tracks can be made available upon request.
The link I gave IS mostly mtm2 tracks but also has some of the best mtm1 tracks as well, check the far right hand column, if it says mtm1 then it was made for and is a mtm1 track.
I still run mtm1 and 2 on win98... so I can't say first hand if there are any compatability issues with 2k systems, I certainly haven't heard of any up until now.

Yow, thanks Phineus, that link took me a while to go through!
I'll be back shortly with some requests. It won't be many, I promise. If you "remember" any big faves of your own, feel free to push them at me too. I remember downloading and trying out alot, and mostly sticking with the rallies and circuits, but I may network with the boys and have some fun with the others too now.
Thanks again to both of you, Malibu350 and Phineus! Be back soon.

xoom.it is an Italy-based free web service. Possibly the only one on the net who offers hosting this large. So, when in rome.... check out the link at the bottom of the page.
Mal, I found over forty dead links on our cd, and almost two hundred orphaned files.... which means that page is working perfectly and ... that's all I have time for right now.
P.S. Like my announcement on the mtmg
