I'm trying to get started in truck building and painting, but I'm having problems.
With MDMRE's utilities, I keep getting "Path not found" when trying to create a response file after repainting a stock truck. I've installed the support files and followed the instructions, and the paths in mtmsrch.ini are correct.
Also, I can't get Tracked2 to start.
Does anyone have any suggestions, or know of other utilities I can use?
Thanks,
rmcom

The path not found message has to be one of the most frustrating for a new truck maker. There are a few things you can do.
- Make sure you're using the correct file searcher program. It makes a difference. For mtm2, there's a "2" in the exe name.
- Use the file searcher to find which raws are used in your bin models. Do this one at a time and make sure they're included in the lst file.
- remove stock act and raws from the lst file.
- find out why tracked2 doesn't work. Often, it's easier to pod a truck using tracked2 and then use podzip than it is to do cart-wheels trying to figure out which file is missing in your truck.
Hope this helps. I know the frustration you're going through. I've struggled nights in a row trying to figure out what's wrong. All I can say is keep at it, you'll get it.
If all else goes wrong, find a friend who has tracked2 that works.

Phineus,
Thanks a million for the tip, File Searcher was the cause of my "path not found" problem, I didn't have the MTM2 version. No problems since I got the right version.
I'm saving the Tracked2 problem for my next days off, got a few ideas for that.
SIG, thanks also for your suggestion, luckily I didn't have to go that route.
Have a good one,
