Weird Sound

Post by TheMan9800#1 »

A slight problem. I have tracked2, it's working fine and everything, but when I went to play MTM2 the sounds are weird. Is this because of tracked2?

Yep. The thing about Tracked2, is it uses the MTM2 game engine to run. That's why the program needs to be in the MTM2 directory (as I see you learned in the other thread) - it needs to access the files and settings used by the game.

The other thing is that Tracked2 has no sound - but MTM2 does. Tracked2 can't do anything with the sound settings it accesses out of the game files, and what it does is reset the sound of the game to the lowest level. What you're hearing when you go back into MTM2 is the sound with the bit rate and quality turned down. To fix it, once you've got MTM2 running, click on the Options menu, select Sound, and change the bit rate and quality back to what you want, and it should all sound all right again.

You'll have to do this every time you start MTM2 after running Tracked2.

I rarely use Tracked2 but do experience weird sounds in mtm2 when my system resources are running low, a reboot fixes that right up tho.
