Zone probs

Post by EmceeMart »

I attempted to host/join a MTM2 game in the Zone yesterday (first time in years) without any success. I kept getting an "access violation" message or the game would launch and I would be the only player. I didn't have a firewall active or any programs running in the background. Any ideas what's up anyone?

Using a router? Set your computer to DMZ host.

Not using a router? No idea. New isp?

Once upon a time, I was getting "game not found" messages. I reinstalled the old fashioned way (from the cd) and it was fine afterward.

Depends on the router, but generally yes the options are in the router configuration pages.

LOL...I just signed up with Netzero platinum...net access for only $9.95 a month...a bargain, yes?

NO.

Even with the paid version they put a small toolbar on your screen, and boot you if you start an online game that requires the full screen (thus blocking their toolbar. It's the same with free access!

I can see such policies with free ISP, but with a paid account? Weak!

I can see I won't be wth them for long...I highly DON'T recommend using Netzero...

It only boots ya if u have the bar at the bottom of your screen
like if u have the screen at 1024x768 and change it to 640x480 then it will be off the screen and it will kick u but if u put the bar at the top it will work fine.
Keep on MTMing,
