TRACKED

Hi. I have Windows XP Professional on my new pc. It will not allow me to open Tracked through Windows Explorer or Command Prompt. Is there other ways to open it in XP or is there a updated version of the Tracked that I do not know about??? Thanks in advance!

Some graphics cards are incompatible with tracked2. You can try and change the render settings in the game, then try and open tracked2 again. This will work in many cases, but it doesn't "always" work.

have u tried compatibility mode?
i had to have that set up on my last motherboard b/c of the on-board vidcard.

What is compatibility mode? I dont have a on-board video card. I have a ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128MB

I had a problem with XP and TRACKED2, but I get around it by starting MTM2, setting the graphics to software renderer only and the screen resolution to 320x200 (pentium166)

Then I quit MTM2 and start Tracked2...it works for me at the lower resolution.

However, this is usually for a visual problem.....your error appears different.

compatibility mode is like an emulator for earlier versions of windows. try out Bog dogges duggestion first, that ha helped a lot of ppl out.

If you're having trouble running older programs originally developed for previous versions of Windows, you're not out of luck. Luckily for consumers, Microsoft built Compatibility Mode into XP. Compatibility Mode allows you to run a program using the shell of the original program it was developed for. Today Chris shows you how to access a program's Compatibility Mode in XP:

Find the executable or program shortcut icon you'd like to run.
Right-click the icon and select Properties.
Click the Compatibility tab and place a checkmark next to the text labeled "Run this program in compatibility mode."
Select the operating system that the program was originally intended to run on.
You may need to fine-tune the three fields under "Display Settings" if an older program requires 640x480 resolution or 256 colors.
Click Apply.
