Would you allow it?

Post by Mat-Allum »

Hey Phin (first, do you like being called Phin?), would you allow me to upload my Web site to MTM2.com when I finish it, or is that off your rules list?

You may call me anything you like [:-)]

As for sites, to date we've reserved the space for help sites only... with the fringe benefit to the webmaster of hosting their stuff too. We're still new to the hosting scene and I'm really not confident at this stage to open thing up wide - I still have lots to learn. However, I've also made no secret that makers may link to their own files listed here.. so as to benefit from the, ahem, reliability. The only thing I think I'd object to would be linking to all the files as if they were on another site. This is just too expensive to allow leaching of that sort.

Just so we're perfectly clear. We have

- two truck archives (beek's and the truck o rama)
- two parts sites (leg's and bigdogge)
- one mega help site (drive2survive's place)
- one program site (traxx, also has help - traxx school)

and the rest is downloads and our own personal stuff.

Sounds fine by me. But I think what I said was a site must already have, and it must have had it for quite some time.

Well, I am still in the making of the site, and I would add tutes and maybe upload it somewhere else for a while. Then could I move in?

Or is that for the users who have made tons of trucks/tutes/models/tracks like BigDOGGe or D2S?

It has been for people who have had an impact on the game. I'm not going to speak out of turn or make promises I can't keep, but stick around and keep up the good work. The future is a big place and there's no telling what can happen.

I suggest you get your site hosted at http://www.shadowonline.com.No affence Phin.

That site is where my site is hosted at, and he has just got a new server, so things are really screwed up. I have lost everything on my site, but I got a backup of it just before it happened, so I am luck I guess you could say haha.
