I got a plan

Post by NIR_Cr@$hC@rt »

Psst, Phin, here's a new money making scam...lol. Any of you MTMers in England will possibly have seen a variation of this before. The Top Gear TV programme has done it. They have a test track and get celebrities to drive the same car around it. They have a board with all the times on it. I am going to make a test track for the MTM equivalent of that.

Anyone who wants to can compete. I will have a Word document with all the times and a Wet Race column and Dry Race column. Participants must use the stock Bigfoot and the same settings which will be decided by SLO_COPE and SLO_Jumper. You can use rain or clear conditions ONLY. You may use one or both. Drivers MUST follow the course.

The track will consist of various obstacles: cone slalom, water splash, mud bog, caravan jump, chicane navigation, car dominoes and more.

Phineus, any idea what the prize could be?

The only downside is that I will have to become Jeremy Clarkson lol. He is currently at war against caravans. :D

The track idea sounds good. But how would a competition like this differ from the tourneys that are run every week?

Drivers would compete seperately. They have 20 laps practice to learn the track, and then one 3 lap session with a 1st lap to get going, a flying lap, then a slowing down lap. It would be run in single player mode with only one truck, yours.

I will compile the list of drivers over 3 months. Send lap times to me by email.

huh! 20 laps? on most track i'd call that barely a warmup lol. Sometime we run tracks for hours before the lap time seriously drop.
Forgive me for my pessimism but i'm not sure there will be much interest for this. Oh well, Doesn't cost much to try.

LOL Mal. At least he's got tennis in there, so in my book he's good guy lol.

As for your idea, Crash...man, I don't know. I'd have to actually try it to get a feel for it.
