It's easy to do but for the most part counters do not mean very much. I did it for trucks as a favor to Robby, but I won't be doing it for tracks any time soon. Reviews and pictures are the best indicators.

I had the 9th most downloaded truck on vales for a while. But it was complete junk so i deleted it. That shows what download counts mean. All i did was set the body model of a truck to be the school bus from the scrapyard. I didnt even resize it or anything. It was awful. But it stil had like 2000 dls or somthing.

Yep, those numbers are probably accurate, Phin - I personally d/led MOmentumX 1,620 myself lol.

I know long ago ObeOne discovered that his "Castellar Mountains" was the most d/led track at KC's at one time so I made a big deal of it on our N&U. Not sure why really lol, but it seemed to bolster his ego a little (not that he needed it, mind you). Still, I agree that reviews and pics are very good indicators of how popular a track may be. But if you run across a track you like and you don't see a thread on it in Track Talk, start one up if ya want. You'll find there are quite a few tracks that are excellent that never got mentioned or discussed anywhere. :)

Lol.... My 8x8 WARDOGG MISSILE CONVEYOR truck has held the number 2 spot at Vales for years (1138 D/L's), but it never could knock that dang Goldberg by Charlie Wagner off the #1 throne (1702 D/L's to date)...

Download counts shouldnt really matter. What SHOULD matter is making and uploading a fun quality track for others to enjoy. I'm all about giving members of the mtm2 community an awesome track, that isnt boring or dull to play on. Anytime I make a track, I think of all the members in the mtm2 community, and what they'd like to see, and I make it for them. I just get to enjoy it too.

Impatient lil thing ain't ya Grim?

The tracks here that deserve a pic, have one. It's gonna be a long time before you'll see a pic for them all, not enough man power, we all have lives outside the game.

I just download them, if they suck, delete it, easy. It's not like there is a limit to what you can download here, just go nuts and keep what you like.

All trucks have pics, cuz that's just the way the truck makers are, but taking a good shot of a whole track is kinda hard, so just take a chance. I download dozens on the weekends, and found some really great tracks out of it all.
