multiple controllers in mtm2

Post by OLD_mumhra »

The subject says it all, is this possible ?

A friend of mine wants to know. He's a very dedicated sim-racer, but he heared me and a few mates raving on about mtm2. So he bought (???) the game, but now has a problem with controlling the game. That is because he uses an Actlab wheel and BRD pedals.

Anyone has a solution ?

I'm not the controller expert but I've heard some controller profiles will give mtm fits. But most of that was win98 and I haven't heard it for a long time. If his controller works in other games, then it should work for mtm2. If he can hook up multiple controllers then they should just appear in the list in the game and he should be able to select and calibrate it. Obviously that's not happening or you wouldn't be posting here. So, can you say anything else about what it's doing or not doing?

The problem is he uses 2 different controllers. I have redirected him to this site, so maybe he can explain better later on. But the way i understand it is that the wheel and the pedals are diffent controllers, so i think they use different USB ports.

When he plays gpl (grand prix legends) he doesn't gave a problem with this, but i think he can't calibrate in mtm or something like that.

Hi I'm the guy we're talking about.

The problem is this: I have a Actlabs FF wheel and a set of BRD Speed 7 pedals. 2 separate usb controllers.
In MTM2 I can only select one controller or keyboard.
I assume like many old games (or recent codemaster games ) that there's only support for one controller. Either the wheel or the pedals.

If it doesn't work, no biggy. I was only checking it out.

never heard of that sort of thing either.
but on a good note, if u got bottons on your wheel u could use them as gas/brake combo. problem with that is that your truck will accellerate like u were using the keyboard. [uhoh]
just a thought

or u could just use the keyboard [bump]
Leg's Auto Emporium most anything that you'll need to make a truck!

Do you, or does anybody, know if there's a windows setting or some sort of emulation software that will bring those two controllers together as one before you start up mtm2? It would seem to me it's theoretically possible, I just don't know if anybody's every went and done it.
