should i download it?

should i download one of the fixmore programs? where do i put it? what does it fix? which one should i download?

Most everybody uses it. This is the most recent.

Mount it like any other pod, save, then open the pod.ini file in notepad and move it to the top of the list... just below the number at the top.

but what does it do? i don't wanna waste a pod file because i can only have so many directories with pod-it, which means i have to have 1 less truck/track for me to run.

MTM2 allows you to have like a hundred pods mounted.

The fixes include things from bad models and textures to errors in the game to performance enhancements. The list is very long. There are over 400 total fixes in all. But, you do not "have" to have it, if you don't want to.
