Video problem

I just happened to be playing Flatout a while ago when it froze up. I ended up restarting, but that's not the point.

Ever since then, absolutely nothing relating to my video card - Zmodeller, Flatout, 3D GameStudio, or anything else - works. I tried out DXDIAG, but the installation of DX9c is okay. The DirectDraw tests were okay, but all three D3D tests failed. I don't know if a restart will help in this case.

What exactly is going on?

Sounds like flatout damaged something. Can you reinstall directx, and then maybe your drivers?

I did it again. I embarrased myself by posting a message on a forum for help, then immediately finding the fix to the problem. I shut off the computer then instantly turned it back on, messing something up until I rebooted normally.
