question - should i use the software graphics or the hardware accelerator? some tracks work better on accelerator but most of the trucks look better with the software.

thank you. that clears up a lot. so i guess i should set my setting to double buffer then?

As long as the game runs smoothly, then you should run it as high as you can. When you start seeing extra lag or stutter, then try the next notch lower until it smooths out. But there is no hard and fast rule. The bottom line is whatever works best.

i found out my computer doesn't have that kind of support to run a double/triple bufer, so it looks like i'm stuck with basic graphics. :(
