Zone Troubles

When I click on a room, it tells me 'Unable to launch room. Please reopen your browser etc.'. What is causing this that wasn't causing it a few months ago, and how can I fix it?

Thats nothing, mine failed to download that zone update, of which even when it did b4 download, it has to download it over and over lol, but now it just says failed. Its really anouying.

Uninstall the zone files from add/remove programs and next time you visit it should reinstall the updated files. That usually works for me.

Dont forget to delete cookies and temp-files to be safe. GL

Hmm, it won't install the files. It keeps telling me that it couldn't download the file.

after deleting it, it wont even bring up the zone update screen, it just says failed right off the start.
After that zone update about now a year or so ago, when they added smilies and other junk, it started saying
"Failed to register zchat.dll"

so i would just floppy over that file from another computer and i coudl get into the lobby and just have no chat, but now it wont even let me do that.

(no chat was kind of fun with no steve around haha, id let him flood me to his hearts content, i couldn't c it anyways.

Further to what charles was saying, here's a checklist

* delete browser temp files
* delete c:\windows\temp files
* delete C:\Documents and Settings\all users\Local Settings\Temp files
* delete the MSN Gaming Zone folder
* Make sure attempting to install didn't add anything in the add/remove program list. If it did, uninstall.

And try again.

If that doesn't fix you up, then I don't know what will.

Thanks everyone, works now. The only trouble I have is that it can't connect, but I'll find a way to sort that out.

Slayer, that might help your chat problem.

Thats zone friends, i mean all lobby chat, all chat all together doesn't work, actually all that works is zone friends. but since i deleted everything, even zone friends won't download anymore. no firewall. I'm using internet explorer. I got 256 MB of RAM and 40 gig HD, (20 free).

for some reason last night I had a dream that I actually managed to log into zone......Is this a bad sign lol?
