REP Foot Bin

Post by shotgn22 »

I DLed the REPFOOT bin from Malibu's page, but anytime I try to load it into bin edit, I get an error and cannot load it. I can add it in Truck Editor, but that is all I can do with it. Anyone else have this problem?

I get this error

<center><img src="http://mtm2.com/~forum/images/repfootbinerrortopic4297.gif" width="437" height="230"></center>

But if I delete the RepFoot1.bin.info file the error goes away.

Same error I was getting. I still get the pootiepie error even when I deleted the info file.

Wondering if I should delete the pot I had made of it when I was playing around with it.

I don't know what that is but can't hurt to move it out of the models and art folder - no need to delete until you know for sure.

Deleted the all the repfoot models, Checked the pod with c-pod, and the info file wasn't in there.

Extracted the pod and there was still no info file.

When trying to open the model in bin edit again it came up with the same error.

Was hoping that it was just me having problems.

Oh well, scrap that idea and work on a new one. LOL.

1st thing I see, is that you should have the game installed in the default location the game wants to install to originally.

Should be "C:/Program Files/Microsoft Games/Monster Truck Madness 2"

Binedit should be installed in the MTM2 folder, where the Monster.exe file is located, and under that should be all your truck making folders, ART, Models, Truck, etc. That should solve most of your problems.

If none of that works, that particular model was re-vamped for me by Mal. On my customs page on my site, I made 2 reps of my 2 best friend's trucks, both 1977 Ford trucks, that is the same body. Might try using one of them.

Un-install the game where you have it, and this time let it install where it wants to go by default, it will free up a ton of issues. MTM2 isn't case sensitive, but sometimes it acts like it is on some pc's.

Yes, that is the same thing I'm talking about.

After I unzipped the bin originally, I just swapped the body off of a different truck in truck editor and make a pod. That's when I was trying to unzip it since I thought maybe it would work if it was deleted and unzipped from a pod that worked in the game.

Sorry Rep, didn't refresh the page when I replied...

Yes, everything is installed the way you described as well.

I'll try your page and see how it works from there.

Thanks

anything can be done, I beat on this from time to time.

It's kinda of a rep of a buddy of mine's farm truck, only much nicer. Mine has a 428 CJ motor and no rust or dents. Let me know if you got those wheels to work, I have a few days off so if you need my help, be glad to.

I actually like the truck like that. Is there a place to get it?

This isn't done yet, but here is a preview of the wheels. Older Ford hubcaps. I can send you the bin if you like.

It was just something I whipped up one day, I never released it, but I suppose I could.

I think your truck looks fine. I have to make a few adjustments to that brown one and then I'll put it on my site and here. I'm going to make a twin to it before I release it. The one above is one version, but I'm going to make another in a burnt orange color with chrome wheels, thats the way my buddy wanted it to look someday.

If he would stop chasing cattle with it, it woulda been a cool truck...

Hey Rep,

Just uploaded Yella. It's a little better now that I used one of your trucks. Take a look at the wheels if you get a chance.
